Bird Watching in Udawattakele

The Udawattakele Forest Reserve is a haven for bird enthusiasts. Wander through the ancient forest, once reserved for kings, and spot rare species such as the Layard’s Parakeet, Crimson-backed Goldenback, and Brown Fish Owl. The forest also hosts wild boars, fishing cats, and macaques, along with around 460 species of plants.
