Take on the Ella Rock Hike

The Ella Rock trail is more challenging than Little Adam’s Peak, but the rewarding panorama at the top makes the effort worth it. The route isn’t signposted, which can make it tricky to follow, and the final section gets steep.

Plan around four hours for the full hike. Late afternoon is a great time to go thanks to cooler temperatures. Only stay for sunset if you’re comfortable descending in the dark and come prepared with proper footwear and headlamps—going down at night can be tough, especially on the steep return.
