Thuparamaya

Thuparamaya

Thuparamaya, the first stupa built in Sri Lanka after the arrival of Buddhism, dates back to the reign of King Devanampiyatissa in the 3rd century BC. Enshrining the right collarbone of the Buddha, this ancient site covers roughly three and a half acres. Today, it is regarded as one of Anuradhapura’s most significant religious monuments.
